I love Dalit writers

My dear friend Nammo who is the producer of a prominent lit fest in India, on the opening day of the fest this year, said, that one of the interesting sessions was one that had participation from Dalit writers... What writers???? Dalit writers... Wow! talk about abolishing caste discrimination. How do you abolish discrimination? Easy, mention the caste as a qualification in bold... Zo Zimble.... Another dear friend Willy who also happens to be the director of the fest had nothing to add to what she was saying. Good for them, after all, they are crusaders fighting for recognition of the works of Dalit writers, and whatever they say, goes.
Why not, said a friend... They are Dalits and the discrimination they have been fighting all their lives is what made them come out with the expressions. So Dalit writers... How about Jilted Lover writers, fighter plane writers, sex-deprived writers, constipated writers, yada, yada... Wogay, Wogay, that's not why I started this post. I just wanted to wish them on the day of love.
